About the book

Argentum: Recursion

Sometimes the only way to move ahead is to take a step back.

synopsis

In what remains of Houston, now sealed inside the First Contact Quarantine Zone, a nameless man wakes strapped to a medical chair with no memory of who he was. Outside the room, silver-blooded creatures called Ferronines stalk the abandoned halls.

Then he dies. And comes back.

Found by Fireteam Charlie, he is designated Subject Four, but they call him The Fortune Teller. Teller’s ability is not simple immortality; his resets are Temporal Argentum-Assisted Regressions (TAARs). Every death teaches him.

Every answer reveals a larger horror: Argentum is not just a substance, and the entity calling itself Auru frames himself as “a prisoner appointed the title of warden,” bound to a purpose he did not choose.
