The journey began in childhood. KC has been hooked on writing ever since a teacher helped him create a book when he was a kid. From making up backstories for toys to crafting short stories and poetry, writing became his anchor.

The foundation for his debut novel, Recurve, was sparked by a jarring nightmare on Halloween night in 2016. What followed became a six-and-a-half-year labor of love shaped by grief, doubt, and the loss of loved ones. Through discipline learned from his family, he finished the work and transformed some of his darkest moments into a story of survival, identity, and transformation.
